Kyler Kelton Cohoon

It's A Boy!!!
Sorry, the pictures are a little fuzzy. And sorry for those of you who don't know how to read an ultrasound picture. It's kinda like 'Where's Waldo' only it's 'Where's Kyler'?
In this one it looks like his head is really big in the bottom left corner...It's Not! Actually, the top of his head is right in the middle on the bottom. He is upside-down. His tummy is on the right side and his leg and foot are on the top. He is pretty much folded in half. Silly kid!

This one is almost the same shot as the first one. That dark spot in the middle on the bottom is his eye. And you can see his leg really good at the top.

This is his arm. He is making a fist. His elbow is on the right and the fist is kinda in the middle. I think the fuzzy thing behind it is his other arm. I can't remember. And last but not least his boy parts! It's really hard to see cuz this is a picture of a picture but the angle that he is at he is pretty much sitting on the camera. So the thing sticking out on the top is a leg, a ding-a-ling in the middle and another leg, before it goes all fuzzy. I'm not sure but I think in the bottom right his the top of his head. It's all pretty fuzzy but he is "definatly a boy!"

I think he is adorable already! Only a little over 20 weeks left (assuming he is full term) and we'll get to meet this little guy! He looks great so far and is measuring right in the middle on all the growth charts. Some were even a little above the average. Which is great news cuz that means he is healthy and growing at just the right rate.
He is a very wiggly baby. I felt him kick for the first time on May 11 and now I feel him move all the time! The ultra-sound tech had a hard time getting a few of the pictures she needed because he wouldn't hold still. I guess maybe he takes after his dad in that way! Good news for us is that we'll get another ultra-sound next time we go in--more pictures!
We picked the name Kyler Kelton Cohoon. Almost 2 years ago we found the name Ky and heard that it meant ocean in Japanese. (still not 100% sure about that but it sounds good to us). And if you know anything about us you know the ocean is one of our favorite things. So it fit pretty well. We just wanted him to have a longer name so we came up with a bunch of ideas until we found Kyler and loved it. For the middle name I originally wanted Jacob. Only Jake doesn't like the name Jacob (I know, what a weirdo). But I didn't like Kyler Jake. So we thought of Kyler Jacobie. Which is one of Jake's nick names. We liked it for a really long time. And then I decided it would be weird to give our kid a nick name for a middle name. So I had my friend, Jennifer help me out. She works at UVU and looked up all the Kylers, and then all their middle names. I saw Kelton and loved it. And so did Jake. So that's what we decided. Who knows if it will change in the next 4 1/2 months. I'm not planning on it but you never know. I hear it happens a lot. So far that is what we're sticking to.
